Abstract

Indian women are always following the cultural quotes and ethics of India. They stand as a role model to the whole world not only in the present era but also in the upcoming ages. The Women Portrayed in the Tamil classic literature Periya Puranam were standing representatives at all Indian women. The women in Periya Puranam made their familial relationship a cardial one and kept the hormony of the name by not revealing their misunderstanding to the world. Hospitality is one of the core characteristics of Indian culture and so Indian women never failed to maintain it. They never outsmart their husband’s word since they had much respect on them. Moreover, they aided the principles of their husbands. They married the bridegrooms whom their parents have chosen. They played the vital role to maintain the etiquettes and moral of the family and helped to keep it alive. Thus, did so, the women in Periya Puranam stand as preserving pillars of Indian culture.
