Abstract
In general, both women and men are to be treated the same in the social assessment. Women’s support in enhancing the life quality of men is significant. In today’s day-to-day life, anyone can witness women’s empowerment in all sectors but still, some women face various types of barriers. Either at home or even in the outside world women has to live with the problems of men. Feminist ideology has risen when women started to understand that their feelings and rights were not recognised. Hence in this research article, the poet Maadhumai’s “Ottrai Silambu” poem was taken and studied about the women’s stand.
