Abstract

The most notable writer Poomani was born in Aandipatti village near Kovilpatti. If you rank the famous novelists of Tamil literature, Poomani has an important place in it. His novels are something different, it is not about the land rather it is the voice of the poor people. The most famous among his novels is ‘Vekkai’. This novel was released in 1982 and in 2019 director Vethimaran made it into a movie titled 'Asuran'. Chidambaram plays an important role in the novel 'Vekkai'. A fifteen-year-old boy Chidambaram murders Vadakkuran. Seven days after the murder, he surrenders himself to the court. This article explores the psychological reasons behind killing a person. Psychological theories, child psychology, reasons for child crime, child Chidambaram's emotional character, approaches to psychological reasons and the reasons why murder is not seen as a crime have been psychologically explored in this article.
