Abstract
The customs and practices that are followed by ancient Tamil people are still in use. Such continuity of customs and traditions are refered by using the following terms such as myth, tradition, sangaetham and signals. Animals and birds co-exist with nature and gives us the notifications for natural disasters. Examples for this are the signals of birds, cats, and ants. We see the ant carrying its eggs from the lower region to upper region. This event is understood as a sign of rain. A creator records culture and its experiences in his works. Such works are also a document that preserves the cultural records of the country.
