Abstract
In Kalingatupparani, Jyangondar explains about the eight realistic incidents. They are actions that are expressed in physical emotion are considered as truths. When an action is not expressed emotionally it can be considered. A woman crying to goddess and asking her husband’s body parts that have scattered in the battlefield is the touching scene in the story. In the text Muthuppei can be seen as bowing down at the feet of Goddess Kali and showing her sorrow. Soldiers seen swimming in the sea and running scared of their own shadows. Can hear news about naturalization. Heroic acts of a hero mutilating his own body parts can be seen. Many stories like wives treating the scars of war-wounded husbands are seen. Thus, the article explains the eight realistic incidents of Kalingatupparani in a psychological approach.
