Abstract

Ancient Tamil people excelled both in love and heroism. Sangam literatures explains the life style of ancient Tamil people. Ancient Tamils divided their life into Agam and Puram. The love life between a man and his wife is called Agam. All other things except love making is called Puram. The life of an ancient Tamil people is based on moral values and they follow it in their life. Overall, the article highlights the ethics and virtues in Kurunthogai and about the pre-marital and post-marital love life of an individual.
