Abstract
Media has the power to make huge changes in society. People trust the media to the extent that they define food, clothing, culture, lifestyle through the media and especially the power of visual media such as film, television, advertisements, and the Internet which cannot be explained in words plays a major role in people’s day-to-day life. Today media rules the whole world and it also led to the formation and overthrow of regimes in many countries. Through media even the opinion of a common man in a corner of the world is spread to all. When we look into telecasted television stories we can come to know that there are many story treasures that are poured in Tamil and English literature. It is a real fact that if we telecast the story of Sangam literary works in to Tamil cinema, the quality of Tamil cinema will be more refined than that of world cinema and it will become stronger.
