Abstract

Tamil literature consists of numerous genres. Of these genres children literature has been since Sangam period. The genre records the actions, behaviour and specialities of Children. Famous writer Valliappa is hailed as the father of children’s literature. He founded Child writers Association. Short stories, poems, novels of children literature are being created for children. As time moves on the texts written for children’s are enriched with new ideas and new thoughts. S. Balabharati has written his works based on children’s taste. Based on this, this article is the study of biographical allusions in the works of S. Balabharati.
