Abstract

The language elements in the short story “Iiyalbal Arivom” are arranged to express the language that man can use in their daily life. Such language is closely intertwined with human beings. Literature also reflects human language. In many ways’ literature reveals us that man is able to speak and has the charter of language. Written languages are the treasure for history. It is through writing that literature is perfected. Through this short story one can know through which elements the author’s language differs. In order to express one’s emotions the author has used emotional style in his writings.  Language is used as a part of language perception and language elements are used to express the relationship between language and society. The use of language depends on particular. The writers have used foreign words to help social movement and thus foreign words are mixed in this short story. Linguists refer to the vernacular language as Slog Linguistics. This vernacular language is still spoken in the rural areas and is considered to be translated into English. Aneeswarar was the first to use the present-day English series in this secular language. It can be seen that this short story is based on the natural language spoken by the people without any difference in the language style. Many people live in Chennai and so the author has used Chennai Tamil language so that different people can understand the language. Usually while speaking man suppresses questions and gives formal answers. Such use of language is present in human life. This short story ‘Iiyalabal Arivom” reveals us that the arrangement of words in the language and continuous sentences are the characteristics of language.
