Abstract
The methods of worship are evolving with the times. Since the Sangam age, people have worshipped Minor Deities and Great Deities. The people of the Pandya country built small temples and worshipped Thirumal. Summoned to the Chola country for the construction of a temple, they discovered the construction of a huge temple and built other temples in their country, such as the Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple. Thus, the efforts of the Cholas to worship God led to the formation of many great temples of worship all over Tamil Nadu in later times. During the reign of Rajaraja Thevar, the reason for his self-sacrifice was found, and the family got a high status. The Cholas accepted the worship of Shakti. They learned about Vaishnavism and praised that time as well. They excelled in the promotion of Saivism. Festivals were performed in temples. Thus, the worship of the Cholas became of great importance.
