Abstract
Kalaimagal is worshipped as the God of education and the arts. In the early days, Kalaimagal worship was not part of the Tamil tradition. However, Goddess Kalaimagal worship has become inevitable in modern worship. The number of students praying and worshipping Goddess Saraswathi to pass the exams has increased today. This study examines the Koothanur temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Kalaimagal in Tamil Nadu, the worship practices performed there, and the views expressed by Kambar, Kumaragurubarar, Ottakoothar, Bharathiar, etc., who were the best in life by praising Kalaimagal and, thus, got rid of their sufferings in their lives. In today's context, it has been suggested that the worship of Kalaimagal occupies an essential place in the tradition of worship of the Tamils.
