Abstract
Thirumurugatrupadai and Paripadal are the earliest books in the Sangam literature that deals with the Tamil Lord Murugan. Among them is Thirumurukatrupadai is sung by Nakeerar and it explains about lord Murugan’s six houses and about the appearance of the lord in different places. The way of worshiping the lord Murugan by the men and servants have been done in many ways. This article summarizes the devotees, cults, rituals, rites and ritualistic worship in detail.
