Abstract

Sangam Literary songs details about the life history of Tamil people that dates back to 3000 years ago. Sangam literature deals with both internal and external life. This literature expresses the virtues of living in harmony with nature, the life style of ancient Tamil people, about their sports, beliefs, food and clothing. In that way, it can be known from Sangam literary songs that the religious thoughts of Tamil people is based on the nature. This article through the Sangamm literary songs primarily explores that flowers, which are part of nature, have had various impacts on Tamil people’s worship.
