Abstract

Literature begins with the introduction of folk songs. Just as the origin of folk literature cannot be said with certainty, just as it is impossible to say when man was originated. Oral literature began to develop when man began to think. Literature originated first orally and then as written language. It is in the nature of exploring the customs, traditions and beliefs of primitive man. Folk literature is a mirror that reveals the culture, customs and thoughts of the people. People's sentiments, poetry, power, and imagination can be seen realistically in folk songs, which are in a verbal form and people catches it immediately. Folk songs have been around for thousands of years since the day man began to speak. In these folk songs, the hypothesis is based on the soil in which man lived, his work and what he heard and felt about life.
