Abstract
Gandhiji proved in his lifetime that through non-violence, one can overcome great injustice and he proved it in the Indian war of Independence. Gandhianism is not only what Gandhi said and did. Modernity developed throughout the world over the centuries and Ghandhianism integrated in political, economic and ecological thoughts. Gandhi said that his first great realization was that truth has many faces. There can be no single solution and no single answer to any issue. Insisting on single truth is called Anti-Ghandhianism. True solutions can only exist at the common ground where truths can be negotiated and reconciled, so Gandhianism always emphasizes dialogue. It seeks to observe the other side and move towards a possible compromise. Truth is not singular it is plural. Erode Tamilanpan has a unique place among the other poets. The purpose of this article is to study Gandhianism through his poetry.
