Abstract

We can get to know the culture, tradition, customs etc. of a country only through translation. Today translation is growing as a separate field. Awards for translation are given by government and private institutions. And the need for translation has also increased. Moreover publishers have started giving priority to translators who translate other languages to Tamil. English, French, Korean, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and other language works have been translated in Tamil. Thus, Telugu translations have started coming out in recent times. Especially women translators are translating from Telugu to Tamil and from Tamil to Telugu. This article explains all about these in detail.
