Abstract
The last solace for women who are oppressed in every way, in an environment where they have lost their lives, emerges through writing. Malarvati's writings are significant among such writings. In the context of Kumari District, the novels of Malarvathi's Incense Burner, Kaatkutty, and Waiting Karupaai, which arose as voices of rebellion against the patriarchy that suppresses women's feelings and freedom in the name of social morality, can also be freely mentioned in Buddhamveedi row. There are many logical reasons for that in those novels. All these three novels unfolding as autobiographies build the different lives of women living within the boundaries of Kumari District. The problems that arise in this structure are the problems faced by women here. The focus of this article is to explain the life problems of women through Malarvathi's novels that have emerged as her own history.
