Abstract

Siddha Medicine is a system of medicine known for its multi-dimensional (diet, medicine, yogic practices, morals, lifestyles) approach towards humanity. Siddhas were the ones who preserved Siddha medicine. Food is used in Siddha medicine as a cure for various ailments and as a cure for certain diseases. Siddha medicine combines the importance of food and the role of medicine as a source of well-being. All the primary energy required by the body is obtained from food. The liver is an organ that plays an important role in the development of the human body. The liver is the source of the production of proteins and biochemicals that aid in digestion for life energy and removes waste from the body to promote growth. It is the liver that is greatly affected by our almost non-traditional eating habits. The purpose of this article is to highlight with scientific data how grape juice, a herbal remedy made from everyday cooking ingredients, protects against liver damage.
