Abstract
This world cannot survive without water is the motto of Thiruvalluvar. Water is essential for a country and its people to live prosperously and well. The purpose of this research paper is to compare the types of water drunk by the ancient Tamils and their medical properties as reported in the medical book Padartha Guna Chintamani.
