Abstract

Ethnography is the basis for the study of the culture of a particular group or community. Culture is a wide range of elements of a particular group. They try to identify these dynasties into various fragments. Ethnography is the form of writing that produces commentaries and draft reports on the lifestyles of the people about whom it is written. Novelist S. Tamilselvi has highlighted the methods of shepherds in the novels "Geethari" and "Ponnacharam" focusing on the life of the people who lived in Mullai land. Focusing on pastoral life, the spoken language of the goatherds, the pastoralism, the self-confidence of women, personality traits, life events, the attitude of a human race living among the cattle and the forest life of the goatherds are explored in these two novels.
