Abstract
The best forms of literature in the Tamil language have their origins in the Sitrilakkiyam period. There are 96 categories in Sitrilakkiyam in which it is mentioned in Sathuragarathi, written by Veeramamunivar. In that way, Sathaga literature emerged at the end of the Sitrilakkiyam period. It is multifaceted and lyrical. It contains many subtle thoughts to be adopted in human life. Arapazhichura sadhagam, composed by Ambalavanakkavirayar, is very special in the line of sathaga literature. It is intertwined with human life and inspires people to live their lives. The aim of the article is to match the beliefs of that day with the beliefs that can be found in the folk literature that is revered as oral literature.
