Abstract
Folk tales is one of the art forms. Folk tales are nothing but the experience that are undergone by human beings. Regional novels are based on the folk tale narratives, the context in which they are presented, their definitions and theories. The article is about the folk tales that are presented in Vauvaal Desam novel and how the historical background and cultural features contribute to the plot and character creation of the novel. It also says about the plot and sub plots in the novel and how it has been written in the folk style format and the author’s ideas are researched in the article.
