Abstract
In the world, man can live only with the help of knowledge, whether it is a worldly life or a philosophical life. The guru's guidance is very essential for acquiring that knowledge and knowledge. If there is no guru, there is no disciple. If one does not have a disciple, he cannot be a guru at all. Therefore, the guru-disciple relationship or the teacher-student relationship is interdependent. Bharathiyar has sung for the liberation of the soul as much as he sang for the freedom of the country. But it is his country's liberation songs that are highlighted and admired by Many. Therefore, in order to highlight the songs sung by him for the liberation of the soul, this article is based on the contents of the two sub-headings "Gurudarsanam" and "Upadhesam", which are in the main heading "Bharathi Arupathiyaru". In these two titles, "Gurudarsanam" and "Upadhesam", Bharathiar sings about his meeting with his guru and the teaching he received from him.
