Abstract

The man who lived as a hunter in ancient times stayed in the woods during the day to protect himself from the animals and to sleep at night. When the primordial man lived in the cave, habitation was being developed. In the Amazon forests of North America, tribals still live in the forests without being dressed or developing their language. Settlements have emerged as a place where men and women live together in domestic life, and the family system, formed by the combined power of the genetic cells of the human race mother and father, follows various modes of relationships. It refers to the joint family structure of grandmother, grandfather, uncle, and uncle's children and all their relatives outside the joint family. In practical life, all those who have blood relations and live in the same house are called "family". Folk songs help us to learn about the characteristics of such families, their development, and the relationships involved in them. This article examines the family structure and relationships of the people living in the Kongu region. A family is a collective organization that carries on the life of an individual. This collective structure has the power to enrich the country. Despite the rivalry and jealousy between the families of the people of the Paramathi locality, they are living within the framework of family. All of them are protecting family relationships. The study examines the relationships they followed through their folk songs.
