Abstract
Tamil literature has been presenting various moral ideas to the world from time to time. Tamil writers in their text have mentioned about the moral ideas that helps in improving a human life and it is necessary for social upliftment. These texts help us to know about the culture of Tamil people. Today's generation considers virtue as a great act and fails to understand that there are virtues in small actions too. This article breaks the myth that virtues are only mentioned in ancient poetry. This article is also a small attempt to bring out the moral ideas of Kannadasan. It is always a great privilege to do good deeds in human life and we people believe that the good deeds we do in this life will continue in the next life too. Since ancient times virtue is important for an individual to lead a better life. Everyone should do good deeds according to their conscience. This article explores the moral ideas expressed by the poet Kannadasan in his screen songs.
