Abstract
A drama with lofty lessons that can uplift a society penetrates the present. At the festivals, people watched plays to pass the time. Nowadays, the time when stories were being enacted in the context of the social situation in the country has come to an end, and today there is a situation where the lives of the people in the society are being played as drama. Drama is a good tool for today's social transformation and renaissance. The political systems and the daily lifestyles of the struggling people can be introduced even in the old art of koothu. In today's time, a lot of social problems are facing the youth. Today's poets, artists, and youth are giving us so many new creations. The common people may not understand or know these new ideas. In order to make them known, new messages can be explained through the art they know.
