Abstract
The definition of reality, the truths and types of truths of the Tholkappiar, and the views of other scholars on reality have been dealt with. The context and background of the realism that is mostly featured in the four hundred songs in Natrinai are given. The Natrinai songs are classified on the basis of realism. The majority of these realities are the result of a man and woman's love and separation. In particular, they repeatedly emphasize that the woman lead herself is the most affected by grief and sickness. It was evident that the circumstances of the time had been the cause of it. There was a time when women did not have the right to speak. At no point in time had the woman lead spoken of her love, desire, or longing. It is only through her sufferings in reality that one can see the position of the woman lead as perceived by her friend or birth mother.
