Abstract
After the emergence of cults, religions established their ups and downs. In Tamil culture, minor deity worship has been emerged and developed since ancient times. Worship of minor deity is a special reflection of Tamil culture. Although it seems that worship of minor deities has died out in modern times, there are many works that recreate this worship in the form of new works. In particular, the novel Aimpaeriyarkai list out the features of minor deity worship. When approaching the realist theory as a field, in the contemporary context, the god worship mentioned by the author is a natural worship and the society is centred on the individual as an innovation that gives recognition to the individual. In today's environment the worship of minor deity has become a form of worship which has gone away from the practice. The idea of the author who wants social change is special in it.
