Abstract
Three novels of the woman writer Bama namely Karukku, Sangathi and Vanmam have been taken for this review. Each of Bama's novels is a record of her direct experiences in life. These three novels of Bama are meant to reveal the life of the Paraiyar category people. This article is about the ideology, ideology in Tamil literary context, purpose of ideology, change in ideology and ideology in Bama's innovations. Novel Karukku when viewed conceptually it shows the lifestyle of the Paraiyar people and the difference between high and low class people in the schools and about the monasteries run by the Jesus Church. Sangathi novel depicts the life conditions of Paraiyar women. Novel Vanmam depicts the conflict between Paraiyar and Pallar clans. The rising voice of the educated youth is to get their rights from the ruling class is also heard in this novel. The plight and situation of women affected because of the conflicts between these two clans is also explained. One can see the physical strength and mental strength of the women in this novel. When we look at these novels together, it can be seen that the ideologies of Dalitism and Dalit feminism emerge in the context of caste conflict between Paraiyar and Pallar, the life of Paraiyar people and the living conditions of Paraiyar women.
