Abstract
The Siddhas have spoken about the relationship between rituals and the mind. Vedatri Maharishi has said the connection between mind and rituals. The sages have said that the absence of mind is the success of penance. Idaikadar, Thirumoolar, Agathiyar, Sivavakiyar and Thiruvalluvar have explained in their hymns that the great success for a human is that he is able to control his mind and if mind is good there is no need for any mantras. All these things are explained in this article.
