Abstract

Existentialism is a philosophy or ideology that is not universally understood. We cannot explain that this is existentialism. Human life begins at birth and ends at death. This policy emphasizes the inner consciousness of the individual and evaluates the world and man based on the true experiences of man, unaltered by socially determined moral values. The sufferings of human life such as death, emptiness, guilt, hopelessness, fear, pain and other existential characters can be seen in Kalpata Narayanan's novel Sumitra. The purpose of this article is to explore the existentialist characters.
