Abstract

In the novel Kovaerukaluthaigal the author charts down the internal contradictions especially between the Paraiyar and Vannar communities. Author Imaiyam's through his novels shows us how he has survived as a sociologist. When writing entered into Tamil literary prose, novels began to feature common people as protagonists. Therefore, in the continuation of the history of Tamil novels, he highlights the hierarchies, oppression and social life of the Dalit people in his novel.
