Abstract
Basic human needs are food, clothing and shelter. Chief among these is food. Food is not only a means of survival for man but also an expression of his social culture. Pulp has been eaten ever since man began to grow crops for food. What kind of food is the pulp? Was this food in circulation among the ancient Tamils? Were there missions among the people of other lands? No. Mullai is a food that belongs to the land? Is it a traditional food that has been followed from ancient times to modern times? This article, which compares the food types of contemporary people through the reading of Sangha literature, examines this as follows.
