Abstract

Folklore in multinational companies is a dynamic and influential aspect of organizational culture. Recognizing, understanding, and actively shaping folklore can contribute to a positive and cohesive work environment, fostering a sense of unity among employees across diverse geographical locations. The use of folk tales varies across different contexts and semantics, dependent on the storyteller, audience, context, and purpose. It  varies according to the story teller, audience, context, and purpose. The main purpose of these stories is to convey morals to the people. One of the classic story about ethics in business is "The Tortoise and the Hare." .This fable attributed to Aesop, and this fable teaches the importance of hard work and perseverance over arrogance and overconfidence. While the Tortoise steadily advances, the Hare, who over-confidently rests on his abilities, ultimately loses its chance of winning the race. This story illustrates the importance of always persevering towards one's goals, whether the outcome of the action seems certain or uncertain. Additionally, it highlights the dangers of overconfidence and neglect of hard work.This article tries to bring out how folktales act as a motivational tool, inspiring corporate employees to align with the company's goals and values.
