Abstract

Business language is a specialized form of communication utilized within the commercial and economic sectors. It encompasses expressions and terminology pertinent to economic processes, transactions, and commercial activities, with the primary goal of attracting and convincing customers through language. There is a separate field to study the business language is Business Linguistics. It is a discipline that examines how language operates within a business environment. It delves into the utilization of linguistic resources in business endeavors and analyzes both verbal and non-verbal elements of business communication. In summary, business language is tailored for the economic and commercial realms, incorporating specific phrases and terminology. Particularly street vendors can use a practical and engaging language style that combines attention-grabbing openers, product highlights, local expressions, and clear calls to action. This research examines how business language helps vendors effectively communicate with customers, create a sense of urgency, and build rapport, all of which are crucial for successful street vending. More over this research is based on fieldwork conducted in various locations across Tamil Nadu. It involves firsthand observation, direct interaction with vendors and shopkeepers, as well as the collection of physical and environmental data.
