Abstract

Women are the torchbearers who uplift the family and are the guiding stars of society in the world. The path that these women traverse is rough, because the distinction between male and female, which does not exist in any other species, has grown abundantly in the human race. In today's society, it is considered progressive thinking to eliminate the gender differences that have been created in the present, remove the restrictions implemented on women who have been enslaved for a long time, give them priority, and give them a voice for themselves. This idea is deeply rooted today, widely spoken, and gaining significant importance. It is no overstatement to say that this thought arose out of the need of the hour. Novelists, no matter how famous and highly educated they may be, tend to write in accumulation without clear thinking or proper interpretation only when writing about the status of women. The superiority or inferiority of women is a finite concept, and women are advancing in many fields today. But at the same time, it is a fact that in many families, women are subjected to various forms of harassment and continue to face many incidents of harassment as women are not educated in society. As such, the purpose of this article is to find out how the women found in Poomani's novels in spite of their travel in many dimensions, the background of their life style is depressing, as they face many tragedies on a daily basis in order to set up their lives properly.
